1/17 Club Meeting Announcement
Pathfinders,
Please make sure you come to this Tuesday's club meeting. We will be working on knots and getting ready for the upcoming Pinewood Derby on 1/29.
More importantly, we are inviting all parents/guardians of the Pathfinders to come this evening. In addition to being able to help the Pathfinders with knots, there will be important discussion about the scheduling changes that will go into effect for the remainder of the Pathfinder year.

HBA Campout this Weekend!
All,
This weekend, 12/9-11 is the HBA Pathfinder Campout at Brazos Bend State Park. Here are the details.
1. Pack very warm! Temperatures will be in the low 40's F. at night. Warm weather sleeping bags are not enough. If you don't have a sleeping bag rated down to 15 degrees or lower, make sure you pack layers of clothing & blankets to stay warm. Don't forget gloves & heavy jackets. There is likely to be a burn ban, meaning we won't be able to light a fire. This step is most important!
2. Please pack from the camping list. Here is the link to the list.

3. Make sure trip permission slips are signed by parent or legal guardian.
4. Cost is $30.
5. Departure is from Spring Creek church. We will be pulling out at 4:00pm sharp on Friday 12/9.
6. We will not be stopping for snacks/bathroom along the way. If you like, you may pack simple snacks for the drive. Dinner will be served at camp when we arrive.
7. On Sunday, pickup will probably be around 2-4pm 12/11. We will be stopping at Taco Bell on the drive home. Please send cash for that meal. We will start calling parents when we are about 60 minutes out.
8. Pray that we all stay warm are safe and have fun.

Can Collecting
Pathfinders,
We are collecting cans to benefit NAM this Sunday 11/13/2011. This is in conjunction with an area wide Pathfinder effort. Here are the details. This is good for 2 hours of community service.

Geocaching Honor
Pathfinders,
This Sabbath, 11/12/2011, we will be completing the Geocaching honor. We have reviewed all the classwork material in class and only need the field/demonstration part.
After potluck around 2:00 pm, we will be gathering and heading off towards Pundt park. We will try to find the 4 caches there.

Where: Lake Livingston St Park.
Departure: 4:00pm Friday, Sep 23, 2011 (Leaving at this time. Arrive before)
Pick-up: about 4:00 pm Sunday, Sep 25, 2011 (will call in route)
Depart & Pick Location: Church
Cost: $20

Important. Each Pathfinder must have the following paperwork turned in.
i. Registration Forms (must be member of club)
ii. Medical Release & Consent Forms (Signed by parent or guardian)
iii. Trip Permission forms
Pack from the camping check list. Just remember to add a swimming suit. We will be going on boats in the Lake.

Pathfinder Rally This Weekend 8/26-27
Pathfinders,
This weekend is HBA's first ever Pathfinder/Youth Rally. The rally is a gathering of all HBA young people ages 10-16. It will be a mix of spiritual meetings, activities and games. If you are not a Pathfinder, this is a great way to get introduced to HBA's young people. Here are the details.
Cost $6/ person - paid Friday evening. Bring your own money. This gets you the event patch.
Food: Club will provide lunch and dinner on Sabbath
Clothes: Sabbath wear your Class A uniform (if you have it) and bring a change of clothes.

6:30pm - registration
7:00 - 9:00pm Friday Vespers
9:45pm arrive back at church for pick up

HBA Pinewood Derby
Pathfinders,
The Houston Bay Area Pinewood Derby is scheduled for Sunday, Feb 27. The 3 winners of our local race will get a chance to test their cars against the areas best.
Registration is $3 / car.
